Harlem SurViving Covid-19
Documentary (In Development)
Trailer
In early 2020, Covid-19 brought our planet to a near standstill. It devastated countries around the globe from China, Italy to Brasil. The virus soon ravaged through several cities and communities in the United States. Harlem, despite its rich cultural history and recent economic development, was not immune.
Many Harlem residents have died or barely recovered from their infections. Copious businesses were forced to shutdown, losing much needed revenue to pay their workers and bills.
In this documentary, the residents, organizations and essential workers who love Harlem share stories on how they coped with unemployment or losing a business, how they endured maddening isolation, how the fortunate assisted others in dire need, and how they survived the death of family and friends.
Harlem Surviving Covid-19 is a documentary that captures the diverse souls that make up the collective spirit of Harlem and its resolve to survive Covid-19 as a community.
